Welcome to The Lo Down
White Brick Salon began as a seedling dream. I’ve always known I wanted to create a salon that pushed the envelope in the extension industry, that was THE vibe in the Greater Milwaukee Area, but I still remember the first times I said those words out loud. First to family, and then slowly, quietly to a circle of friends who would dream with me.
Next thing I knew, things were taking shape. I was already booking out and with an assistant, outgrowing my room. I hired support to help me start bridging where I was to where I wanted to be. I knew to have the business of my dreams I needed to become the person who achieved that. I was committed to that process. And what was amazing is that as I became her, I realized I was slowly building an bigger dream.
AND I was not so slowly becoming the type of person who would build it.
It’s been just over 3 years since I opened White Brick Salon — my dream buildout, my dream salon, my dream team, and a dream career.
The LO DOWN, White Brick Salon’s Blog, exists to bring you behind the scenes where you’ll get to know our gals, go deeper into the tools / techniques / products that make us so skilled at our craft (and which ones you can apply at home), and learn more about the community both inside and outside White Brick’s walls.
On social media I share snippets of life behind the chair, my mindset, my struggles, my wins — but I want to use this space to go more in depth about the connections, collaborations, and concepts that keep me on my game so that White Brick continues to be a leader in the industry.
I’ll leave you with the one thing that has lead me along the way and that I truly believe has made me not only a stylist you trust for incredible hair, but successful business owner — trust yourself & don’t be afraid to grow🌻♥️
